920 Falcon Soldiers, Glidermen, and Paratroopers in combat. Despite this extraordinary sacrifice, there is currently no memorial on Fort Bragg dedicated to honoring their memory.

Proposed 2BCT Memorial

We are changing that — and we need your support.

The 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment Association is actively assisting the raising of funds for the design and construction of a permanent memorial to honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation. The unveiling is planned for All American Week 2026, during the Regimental Picnic.

Memorial Design and Features

The proposed design centers around an obelisk topped with a metal Falcon, flanked by two marble panels representing the Regiment’s service in past conflicts and operations. The obelisk will include the Regiment’s activation dates and insignia, and will bear the following inscription:

“In Honor and Memory of Falcon Soldiers, Glidermen, and Paratroopers who have given their lives for the cause of freedom.”

In addition to the memorial itself, planned enhancements to Glider Field — the site for Change of Command and Responsibility ceremonies — include:

  • Releveling and repaving the sidewalk

  • Landscaping with trees and flowers

  • Repairs to the surrounding fence

  • A large-format print of PFC Vernon Haught at the Battle of the Bulge, along with his legendary quote will be displayed at Brigade Headquarters.

"I'm the 82nd Airborne, and this is as far as the bastards are going."
